Honduras: Not a Coup

Despite what many in the media might be saying, and what President Obama is saying, the actions taken by the Armed Forces of the Nation of Honduras where not a coup, but rather an action to uphold the Constitution of Honduras.

Under the Constitution of Honduras, no man may serve more then two terms, and no one may challenge that.  Zelaya was doing his best to violate that law.

The Heritage Foundation said it best when they titled their WebMemo #2511 “Honduras Fires Its Runaway President: Constitutional Order Is Preserved.”

The man was removed for continued violations of the laws and Constitution of Honduras, and in accordance with an order from the Supreme Court and the Congress of Honduras, the Armed Forces moved in and deposed a man who was violating the Constitution of the nation.

The armed forces have returned to their barracks, former Speaker of the House Robert Micheletti is now the President under Constitutional Law in Honduras, and the People are supporting the ouster of Zelaya.

And now, according to Gateway Pundit, POTUS has Co-Sponsored a United Nations Resolution with Chavez and Ortega to order the return of a dictator to power in violation of the Letter and the Spirit of the Law in Honduras.

Why, Mr. President, are you asking a nation to subjugate itself to a dictator in violation of the Constitution, in violation of the very spirit of Democracry.
